Since its inception in 2002, 1% For The Planet has become one of the largest funders of environmental work and has initiated over $42 million to preserve and restore our natural environment. 1% supports many local organizations including Heal the Bay and the Surf Rider Foundation. Hermosa Beach Green Fund A fund focused on supporting current green programs and establishing new initiatives specifically for the South Bay. The objective of the fund is to allow business and individuals to make an immediate impact in local conservation programs. Hermosa Beach Green Expo A grass roots effort led by South Bay locals determined to create environmental change.
